2009 Chilly Ultimate Club Open Tryouts Coming Soon!!!
The warm weather and dry fields have heralded the arrival of a new season for men's ultimate in Melbourne. The Chilly Ultimate Club is Victoria's oldest ongoing ultimate club in the Open Division. It has a celebrated past including 3 Australian National Titles and a Bronze medal at the World Ultimate Club Championships in 2006. To begin the season we are having OPEN tryouts to all who wish to attend. These tryouts will comprise of some scrimmage games plus some skill training. Below is a list of important dates that you should know about if you plan on trying out for this club. |

Congratulations to Melbourne based team Vintage who last weekend won the Australian Mixed Ultimate Championships which were held in Brisbane. Vintage were undefeated for the entire weekend and won the final confortably over Sydney based team FAF.
Congratualtions also to the other Melbourne based teams, The Tribe of Miniature Horse and YOOOUUUU!!!!, who came 7th and 8th out of 24 teams who attended.

Ultimate community rejoice as our Monday/Wednesday leagues are about to kick in. Five long weeks was a pain (six for most of us who did not participate in the previous final). The fields are better be in a pristine condition...
There is still three spots left on division 2 (hey Uni Teams, what's happening, get a spot before it's to late... (by the way Monash do we plan a team for this season (end of these long parentheses!))). You don't have a team but want to play div 2, just add your name to the Hat Team. The rego pages are:

You have until the 3rd of October to register as I have to make the draw and advertise them before the following Monday. Want some flicking wrist action then get your fingers clicking...
